BlackBerry and Office Survival

My friend showed me his latest priced possession--a BlackBerry Pearl this weekend and he was all excited, telling me great things about it. It is the latest of the products in the RIM portfolio and is a pretty sleek device. BlackBerry is not just confined to RIM devices anymore; it is available on some Nokia models, Tero650 and Samsung SGH-t719.
BlackBerry has become an inseparable part of our daily life for many of us, it is no more just a device to deliver e-mails but can be a substitute for mobile computing. I was amazed to find out that it can just do anything for your personal or business needs .
The number of applications you can run on these devices is ever growing every day; I was really surprised to find out that there are nearly hundred or more third party applications available to run on your BlackBerry. I was particularly happy to see that we can now run Citrix client applications on BlackBerrys because running Citrix applications are essential part of my everyday work.
I was recently introduced to a company named idokorro—whatever that means, which has a number of applications for BlackBerry like Mobile Desktop, Mobile File Manager etc., besides a beta version for Citrix client for your BlackBerry device. In fact you can sign up for free trial by downloading it from their web site at
www.idokorro.com or get it directly on your handheld device from mobile.idokorro.com.
By the way, a survey on the most unfortunate things that can happen to you had “lose my Blackberry” as one of the answers.

Office Survival
There is a book out-- “Death by Power Point” by Michael Flocker-- A Modern office survival guide. I heard a little bit of the interview Micheal Flocker had on ABC network thanks to my CFS (Channel Flipping Syndrome) and I have become an instant fan of this book. All of us know how perilous our offices have become these days. This is on my Santa wish list and I hope to get it soon, as Christmas is round the corner .It deserves a complete book review so stay tuned in coming weeks for that.

Of course, BlackBerry is essential part of office survival and your dexterity around BlackBerry will go a long way in ensuring your survival.
