Amazon's Kindle

Image
Amazon's Kindle e-book reader is the latest one entering E-book world of reading devices. So far reader interest has not picked up for these products, in spite of products like Sony PRS 505 Reader, Bookeen Cybook V3 and the iRex Iliad, which are available in the market for sometime. I for myself love Sony Reader. It looks like Kindle my not re-kindle buyer interest in portable reading devices. When you compare it with the features of Sony Reader, the new Amazon Kindle looks like a poor attempt to better this product. The Sony allows you to read virtually any format. It may not have the huge commercial titles selection that the Amazon gadget has, but you can read any PDF, TXT, RTF, DOCs, Blogs and RSS for free and right away. It also fails in looks, appeal and price when compared with Sony reader. It is on sale for $399 on Amazon.com and comes with some free reference books preloaded. You may also get subscriptions to news feeds from newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, Le ...

Challenges of finding Printer Cartridges

Image
With thousands of printer models around, it can be a big challenge to buy ink cartridges once you have run out of the in-box stuff. As is true with other electronics stuff, new models come out every 12 to 18 months and with that all the accessories for the old ones are gone from the shelves of electronics stores as well. I faced this problem first hand when I went to buy ink cartridge for my Epson Stylus CX 3200. When the sale associate at Best Buy could not find it,he suggested that I should dump this printer and buy a new one, as it was a dinosaur of the printer world. While agreeing with his assessment,I did make some last ditch efforts to find any some options. And this effort lead me to Cartridge Finder and since then all my worries about getting ink cartridges is gone. It a very clean and easy to use website, where you can find ink cartridges for almost all the models at the click of the mouse. Folks instead of wasting hours at the electronic stores try this out.

Text Entry Error Rate On iPhone

A recent report by User Centric, Inc., a Chicago-based usability consultancy was submitted on the user experience of Apple's iPhone. Previously, test participants found the iPhone's touch keyboard overly sensitive despite the iPhone's overall high usability. In this usability study, User Centric compared texting experiences of iPhone owners and non-owners across devices. User Centric collected data from 60 participants who entered specific text messages and completed mobile device tasks. Twenty iPhone owners (had iPhone for at least one month), 20 hard-key QWERTY phone (aka QWERTY) owners, and 20 numeric phone owners (multi-tap texters) all entered six fixed-length text messages on their own phones. Non-iPhone owners also entered six messages on a test iPhone and a phone of another type. The Blackberry was the other phone for numeric users while QWERTYs used a Samsung E300. Texting Errors More Frequent on iPhones than Hard-Key QWERTY and Numeric PhonesiPhone owners entered ...

PayPerPost--Blogger meets Advertisers

Image
Over the years, Blogging has established itself as respected and accepted way for getting independent and unbiased opinion on all kind of issues, product, current affairs and what not. And all this have not escaped the eyes of advertisers and they are always on the look out for getting some attention from the Bloggers and that is were payperpost comes in the picture. payperpost is unique and I believe the only website which is acting as match maker for such opportunities. I came across payperpost soon after I started my blog and since then I have been writing some sponsored blog every now and then. Even though my blog is very specialized, I do find a few opportunities occasionally and little bit of revenue from such sponsored post gives you a good incentive to take look at some of the products and services. I just like everything about payperpost, right from the home page to registration to take opportunity to write a post and to getting paid for the post. The great thing about paype...
